A DOOR was jimmied open by thieves who then proceeded to ransack a home in Wattle Hill on Friday.

The unknown offender (or offenders) gained access to the property in Wirilda Street sometime between 9am on Friday and midnight that evening.
Upon entering, police said they ransacked several rooms throughout the house, stealing a television, stereo and jewelry.
Police are yet to locate those responsible and have asked anyone with information to contact the Leeton station on 6953 1399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Residents have also been reminded to keep their homes locked when they aren't home to help prevent against such cases.
The door to this property was locked at the time of the incident.

Leeton police are also investigating an incident that occurred at Leeton High School last week.
A vehicle was parked at the school between 5.30pm and 10pm on July 3 when its windscreen was smashed.
