Imagine what it can be like at a bakery - even when items are also donated to places like Oz Harvest and Foodbank.
Former Leeton residents Justin King and Jarrod Deaton are producing a book to help put a stop to bread waste and the community can help make sure it hits the shelves later this year.

The pair work together at Three Mills Bakery in Canberra, with Mr King the head baker and Mr Deaton the business director.
Despite working hard to ensure there was little bread waste at the end of each day, there was still undoubtedly always some left over even after reusing some and donating others.
This is where the idea of producing a book came in.
"Our passion for minimising food waste has led us to collaborate on a cookbook that celebrates the versatility of sourdough bread and, most importantly, what to do with your old bread, beyond toast," he said.
"We feel the biggest issue is the lack of accessible recipes, and with our talented team, knew we had the capacity to help in the fight against food waste.
We show over 75 ways to use and reuse your bread, from when it first comes out of the oven, through to once it has become old bread."
The book Beyond Bread and Butter: A Celebration of Sourdough is currently part of a kickstarter program where donations are being sought to ensure it can be produced.
The deadline for fundraising is Monday. Residents can help out by visiting https://bit.ly/31sYZ8I.
