Catering for "odd" requests and ensuring they have everything the community needs is the aim for the new owners of Leeton Steel.
New owners Craig and Colleen Willis took the opportunity to continue Leeton Steel after the former owners Ron and Helen Nettelbeck decided to retire.
While there was talk of the store closing this was never going to happen according to Craig and Colleen who are looking to move the store forward and to be price competitive to help encourage locals to shop local.
"We have the ability to procure outside the square and allows us to cater for the oddities in life that wouldn't be a normal "off the shelf" item," Craig Willis said.
"There should be no need for people to have to go out of town to shop and although we understand that it is not always possible, our aim is to ensure that we can cater for the community as much as possible.
"In time, we will build the stock back to a maintainable level ensuring we can supply our customer needs moving forward."
Leeton Steel has a small and dedicated team of four.
"Elizabeth Mahy has been with the business for more than 17 years and looks after all of the day to day accounting functions and office administration," Craig said.
"If you have any questions regarding your account Liz will be able to assist.
"Danny Petts is our resident paint specialist.
"What he doesn't know about paint is really not worth knowing and has more than 35 years of experience in the industry.
"Danny also looks after our hydraulic hose section as well as the general day to day operations.
"Brian is our resident specialist for all things agricultural and plays an important role within the business looking after and servicing key accounts as well as the general day to day operations.
"Brian has been with the business for more than 15 years now.
"Then there is me - when Brian or Danny can't assist - you are stuck with me.
"I have a general knowledge of all aspects of the business and having had the opportunity to be the manager here for two years (two years ago).
"I have had extensive experience in a retail roles similar to this."
