A RESIDENT was lucky to escape serious injury following a single-vehicle car accident on the weekend.

The white Honda was travelling on Irrigation Way at Cudgel on Sunday around 3.30pm when the incident occurred.
Police said the car was travelling south on Irrigation Way when it navigated a curb in the road, but lost control and crashed into a tree in the southbound lane.
The driver complained of neck pain at the scene and was taken to hospital to be checked.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
School the target of holiday break-in
LEETON High School has been target by an unknown number of thieves once again.
The offenders entered the school, currently unoccupied due to the current holiday break, sometime between 6.30pm on July 11 and 10am on July 12.

Police said a large amount of tools were stolen.
