The Hawks came away with a 36-16 victory at Yanco Sportsground in what started as a bizarre day for the opposition.
After arriving at Yanco, the Panthers opened their kit bag to get ready for first grade and found they were in possession of the Yenda Blueheelers uniforms, rather than their own after a mistake at the cleaners.
After a quick phone call to Yenda, the problem was sorted and the Panthers were able to take to the field.
Yanco-Wamoon were able to get on the board early, thanks to tries from Harry Daudravuni and coach Troy Preston in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
"It was a pretty hard match all round," Preston said.
"We always knew it was going to be a hard game. Like I said last week they were fighting for their season and a place in the finals.

"I thought we started pretty strongly. It was probably one of the best starts we've hard."
Sunday's win had the Hawks move to second position on the ladder. They are now a game clear of West Wyalong.
However, after that Preston said there were moments of some "really good footy" and "really bad footy".
The Hawks had several late injuries, resulting in players being unavailable for the clash.
Jesse Fitzhenry and Levi Freeman were among those on the injured list.
"We weren't at full strength, so it was pleasing to get the win with a few out," Preston said.
"I would rather give them the week off now and get it sorted, rather than in a couple of weeks time when it's getting closer to finals and some of our bigger games."
Preston said it was hard to pick out the best players on Sunday.
"It was definitely a team win ... everyone had a job to do and they did it," he said.
"If I had to say a couple, Kane Hammond and Will Barnes both had good games, but it was a whole team win."
This weekend the Hawks will travel to Yenda to take on the Blueheelers, who were thoroughly beaten by Darlington Point-Coleambally, 66-6 on Sunday.
