Leeton Shire Council is conducting civil works on both the east and west footpaths in Wade Avenue up to Jarrah Street.
The idea behind the work, which is fenced off from the public, is to finalise the technical design for the wider upgrade to the Wade Avenue precinct.
MORE NEWS
This work is due to start in September and October and will include a massive redevelopment of the area on the back of consultation with the community, as well as significant funding injections from council and the state government.
It will include changing parking arrangements, beautifying the area and more.
Residents shouldn't be deterred by the work, with businesses in the area remaining open.
