With this in mind, Acting Inspector Craig Johnston has asked residents for their help in the fight against drugs in the Leeton shire area.
"What we are asking for is for people to get in touch with us if they are aware of any drug dealing or drug taking in our area," Acting Inspector Johnston said.
"It's by no means an issue that is running rampant, but it does happen.
"If we can gather as much information as possible, it does go a long way."

Families and friends of those involved with taking drugs or dealing illicit substances are often among those who suffer silently.
There is help available such as the Leeton Drug and Alcohol Service, which can be accessed by first calling 6953 1111.
