THERE is a new face behind the dispensary counter at Leeton Amcal Pharmacy with the addition of pharmacist-in-charge, Tejaskumar (TJ) Patel, to the team.

"I was looking for a change and wanted to try life in the country," TJ said.
"My future plan is to stay in Leeton so I can continue to look after the community for many years to come."
It is this desire to help people that led him into pharmacy in the first place.
"I have a passion to help people when they are unwell," TJ said.
An example of that was performing CPR on a child that had suffered an episode as a result of a food allergy.
TJ's areas of medical interest are diabetes, asthma, pain management and natural medicines.
He has a simple message for the community - we are here to help at all times.
"There is a misconception about how we can help people," TJ said
"Customers often only come to the pharmacy when they are sick. However, we can offer a range of everyday health solutions."
