Amanda and Xavier travelled to Sydney to represent Riverina at the NSWPSSA Cross Country Championships at the Sydney Motorsport Park.
Both students qualified for this event following stand out performances for Leeton-Narrandera PSSA at the Riverina Championships held in Gundagai in June.

Their appearance at the State Championships created much excitement in the classrooms across Parkview PS as they watched the NSW School Sports Unit livestream of the event.
Against some extremely talented runners from across NSW the Parkview students achieved some pleasing results on the demanding layout at Eastern Creek.
They gave their all and didn't give up throughout the race.

Amanda Hopkins: 77th /84 (9:50) in the 10 Years Girls 2000m
Xavier Johnstone 71st /84 (14:59) in the 11 Years Boys 3000m
The school has extended its congratulations to both students who represented it and their region with distinction at this event.
