The group produced a top performance on the stage as part of the Wakakirri National Dance Competition at the Canberra Theatre last Thursday evening, winning two awards for their excellence.
The group performed a piece title Dance in the Rain, which told the story of drought.
This was chosen to represent an environmental factor being experienced by our children at the present time.
The two awards won by the ensemble were best minimal use of sets, props and costumes award and the spirit of Wakakirri award.
When commenting about Parkview's performance, the judges said it was "a beautifully choreographed piece discussing the importance of our most precious resource".
Parkview Public dance co-ordinator Julie Axtill was elated with the outcome of the event.
"We are incredibly proud of the kids efforts not just over the last week but over the many months of rehearsals in the lead up to this competition," she said.

"It was terrific to provide our children with a unique performing arts experience with an eye to fostering a love of dance in all of our students."
Other positive feedback from judges focused on the group's choreography, storytelling, dance execution, costumes and make-up.
Parkview were among the 280 schools and 20,000 students from across the country performing as part of the competition.
The judging panel was made up of Emma Watkins (the yellow Wiggle), Andrew McFarlane, Justine Clarke, Alex Papps, and Caroline Kaspar.
