The Hawks defeated the Greens 26-12 on Sunday and will now sit out the first round of finals after finishing as minor premiers.
It was the Greens who struck first on the scoreboard on Sunday, but from there on it was all Hawks.
Coach Monique Higgins was impressed with how well her side played against Leeton.
"After they scored really quickly, I thought it was a credit to the girls to pick themselves up and just move on," she said.
"We just played our game and we were able to get the result we wanted."
The Hawks don't plan on resting during their break, but it will give some of their payers a chance to recover from illness.
Higgins said there was no point in taking the foot off the pedal now.

"Finishing as minor premiers can have its good side and not-so-good side with having the week off," she said.
"For us I think it's going to be okay. A couple of the girls do have the flu, so it gives them a chance to recover.
"For everyone else, we'll still be training just as hard."
The team also plans to support the other Yanco-Wamoon sides contesting the finals on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend and will also likely watch the encounter between the Greens and the Black and Whites.
The winner of that match is who they will face the following week.
The Greens may have lost last weekend, but coach Paul McGregor is confident they can bounce back this weekend.
He said that would rely on the team fixing some parts of their game, including improving their kick returns and controlling the ball.
"If we can sort that out, we are definitely a chance against the Black and Whites ... they beat us in round one and we drew the second game," McGregor said.
"It's a mental thing for the girls now, but I believe they can win. Last week was disappointing, but we need to move on."
