It was supposed to be a close game, however, ended up being a one-sided affair, with the Bench Warmers flogging the Leeton side 5 to 1.
The victory saw the Bench Warmers progress to the grand final against the Griffith side.
With the Griffith team winning the last three or four grand finals they went into the game as hot favorites but someone forgot to tell the Bench Warmers!
The Bench Warmers claimed a historic win, against all odds, with a 6 to 3 scoreline.
Congratulations to captain Brett Collins and the boys - it was a long time coming.
Even though they didn't win the first game, this game really set them up for the victory with Jim Morrison taking on Australian number 27 Jason McGee.
Although he lost, he still scored a great 22 points and deserves a mention.
Their first win came from Craig Willis by 19.
Mick Collins didn't give his opponent a sniff, dominating and winning by 35.
The 2019 rookie of the year, Noel Williams, played like an old pro and another rookie Greg Gale just won by 63 points.
With them winning four singles games they had to win a single double's game, which they did with the pairing of Mick Collins and Noel Williams sinking the pink to give them the win and victory.
