We are holding a very special celebratory dinner on Saturday October 26, 2019.
Previously, at the end of October, we have held a dinner to recognise the Charge of Beersheba but sadly, due to lack of support last year the dinner was cancelled.
This year, however, because the significant anniversaries fall close to the Battle of Beersheba, it was decided to combine all the dinners.
The Battle of Beersheba anniversary will be recognised during the evening and a display on Leeton's RSL Sub Branch history will feature, together with a special guest for the evening.
We need to recognise those who started Leeton Sub Branch and the dedication of all members over 100 years, tirelessly working to maintain the Sub Branch, following its aims and ideals, ably supported by the auxiliary for 70 years.
Remember that the early members of the Sub Branch had to deal with the devastation of two fires that destroyed their facilities.
We are encouraging all veterans and all service personnel, family and friends of those who served during all wars or peacekeeping operations, in fact all areas of service, to join us in celebrating and remembering.
Tickets are available from Leeton Soldiers Club at $45 each and need to be purchased by September 26. This dinner is open to everyone in the community, with table bookings encouraged.
