A small group recently gathered at the town's Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the Leeton Soldiers Club to hold a short service to mark Vietnam Veterans Day.
While the official proceedings were kept brief, the memories from the war continue to live on not just in the veterans, but in their families, friends and communities.
This year a visiting Vietnam War veteran from New Zealand - Will Pirini - also took part in the proceedings.
Held every year on August 18, the date is never missed by Leeton's veterans who use the occasion to reflect and remember.
MORE NEWS
Originally known as Long Tan Day, the date was eventually adopted by all Vietnam veterans to commemorate those who served and died during the war.
Leeton's service was followed by a catch up among the group, sharing old tales and memories in the process.
