The school does this in many different ways, including through its prefect group.
Next year's prefects have been selected and will soon set about the task of raising funds, setting a good example for younger students and more.
The 2020 prefects are:
- Jock Yelland
- Max Findlay
- Lachlan West
- Harry Morris
- Jessica Bunt
- Sarah Elward
- Dimity Evans
- Hannah Dunn
Every year the school has a prefect group, but what exactly do their jobs entail?
According to Yanco Agricultural High School, the student will be kept busy.
"Roles within the school can include leading action groups to promote the areas of our school that the prefects and school decide are important to them," the school said.
"This includes the school's values of pride, respect and responsibility."

Previous prefect teams have spent their time fundraising for various groups and organisations, including Leeton's Friends of Luro and Careflight.
There's also a sense of nostalgia when it comes to being a prefect, with the students required to promote the traditions of YAHS and agricultural groups.
In 2019 this included hosting the inaugural Paddock to Plate dinner and information evening.
The prefects are elected each year by students and staff after completing an application.
Each applicant also needs to be endorsed by a staff member of the school. They then address the school body and an election is co-ordinated by the Student Representative Council.
The 2020 prefect group commence their official role at the start of term four, but throughout the current term they are working closely with the 2019 group to develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities.
Currently the 2020 prefect team are organising the year 12 farewell luncheon and are assisting in co-ordinating the annual gate run and are looking forward to officially getting stuck into the roles next term.
