Recently, the school took a look at Aboriginal and Indigenous culture as part of belated NAIDOC Week activities.
Helping to celebrate was students from Wamoon Public School who visited Yanco Public to take part.
"Michael Lyons from Sandhills Artifacts Narrandera and his team educated our students on traditional art, food, dance, aboriginal artifacts and story telling," Yanco Public School principal Tarnya Grigg said.
"Students tasted kangaroo, emu and witchetty grubs.
"The students learned about Aboriginal artifacts and discovered some interesting facts about hunting and gathering and traditional Aboriginal culture."

All students designed and painted their own boomerangs and enjoyed learning an Aboriginal dance.
Students were also given the opportunity to play the didgeridoo and use the clapping sticks as part of the dance activities.
