The reserve grade women's team have had plenty to contend with during the season, including adapting to a new coach, attracting more players to the team and getting used to working together.
However, the side banded together and managed to start getting several wins on the board.
Their hard work at training during the week began to pay off as they continued to test teams each weekend.
Their efforts culminated when they were able to finish the home and away season in fifth place behind Tolland, South Wagga, Wagga United and Young.
The Madden side started their finals campaign with a thrilling game against Young, who had finished the regular season in fourth.
Leeton United worked hard all match and were able to put away their chances when it mattered, winning the game 3-1.
This set up last weekend's encounter with Wagga United in what was always going to be a tough match.
United were set for a battle and that's exactly what the game was.
Coach David Fattore said the game was tight throughout before Leeton eventually went down 1-0.

"I actually thought we were probably the better team on the day ... we were doing everything right and beating them everywhere," Fattore said.
"We just couldn't put away our chances and at the end of the day you need to be scoring goals to win.
"They (Wagga United) were given a free kick in front of goals, but missed.
"However, they were able to score not long after that, so I think we were a bit rattled with the free kick.
"It's disappointing for the girls because they did play very well, but that's the game. Soccer can be a hard game."
Fattore said the team should be proud of their efforts throughout the season and was hopeful the side would be back on deck again next year.
"I think if they stick together they will go very well again next year," he said.
"It would be good to have some more players come along in both this team and our first grade team so we can build them both up.
"The girls should all be very proud of their season."
