Mrs Gatt was one of two chosen to receive a scholarship to attend the three-day event, which this year was held in Dubbo.
She joined representatives from across the country at the event and is bringing what she learned back to Leeton.
Manuela applied for the Regional Devlopment Australia - Riverina scholarship when she first heard about it and was surprised, but happy to have been chosen.
The conference included several workshops and seminars that focused on different aspects of planning events, what is currently trending, marketing tools, risk management and much more.
"There were many things I learned that I will be bringing back into my business, but also events that we hold and community events as well," Mrs Gatt said.
"The big one for me was marketing. There is so much potential there for all businesses.
"I did find it very beneficial being there.
"A lot of councils were there, including Leeton, so it's great we are all being equipped with this knowledge to bring back here to implement and improve what we are doing."
Mrs Gatt and her husband run a business together and the pair also have four children together, making life very busy.
She said the pressures of owning a business could sometimes be overwhelming, but also rewarding.
Finding the right balance between work and lifestyle is something Mrs Gatt is working on and it does take a lot of team work and support.
She said attending events like the recent conference in Dubbo helped to further broaden her skills, as well as inspire her to try new things.
