Kurrajong, an organisation which offers support and services for people with a disability, has been working with its Leeton and Narrandera drama group to put on a performance of the famous musical.
Leeton resident Rob Hillier has been volunteering to mentor the performers of the production in Leeton and arranged a special video message from Ms Newton-John, who played Sandy in the original movie.
Ms Newton-John sent her well wishes to the performers ahead of their performances later this month.
She expressed her excitement at the upcoming production.
Kurrajong's drama group consists of residents with a disability who enjoy performing arts and musical theatre.
Grease will provide them with an opportunity for people to perform in their community.

Rehearsals have been happening on a weekly basis, according to Kurrajong manager Deeanne Bolesta.
"Olivia's response was incredible and the Kurrajong participants were overwhelmed when they viewed her video message at rehearsals," she said.
The video message will be screened before the production on both performance nights.
Those dates are September 27 at the Roxy Theatre and September 28 at the CRC Plaza Theatre in Narrandera.
Ticket entry is donation only and everyone is welcome to attend and support the performances.
