AN UNKNOWN group of offenders have caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a rental property in Leeton shire.

The home wasn't being rented at the time of the incident, which occurred sometime between August 24 and September 2, with those responsible still on the run.
The Robinson Road property had its glass windows and several doors smashed, as well as other damage during the malicious attack.
"There was quite an amount of damage caused to this property," Acting Inspector Craig Johnson said.
Anyone with information should contact Leeton police or Crime Stoppers.
In a separate incident, a shed on Dempsey Road was targeted by thieves sometime between 10.30pm on September 8 and 6.30am on September 9.
In this case, police said thieves broke into the shed, stealing a large amount of tools and a chainsaw.

The property owners were asleep in their residence at the time of the incident.
The tools are estimated to be worth a significant amount of money.
Police investigations are continuing, with residents urged to get in touch if they have any information that could assist with their inquiries.
