The Leeton District Cricket Association has now formed a board, as well as formulated a way forward for the competition this season.
The season will now kick off on October 19.
Clubs will have until 5pm on October 4 to nominate their teams.
It is hoped the A grade competition will have four teams, while B grade will likely have three clubs nominating a side.
"We know we'll have three sides in A grade, but we're hoping the Colts will be able to get a side together," LDCA chairman John Warren said.
"Clubs have until Friday afternoon to nominate, so hopefully we can get that fourth team in.
"I know they (LSC Colts) are trying to round a few players up to see if they can do it."

The LDCA has decided on the format of the competition as well for the upcoming season.
There will be no two-day cricket included in the draw.
Up until the Christmas break, clubs will be playing Twenty20 matches each week, with the grand final due to be held on December 15.
When the competition returns in January, the one-day format will take over for the remainder of the season.
With clubs continuing to find it tough to attract players, the shorter formats of the game could allow for more interest.
"The big problem is we keep losing younger players when they go off to uni ... more kids are going to uni these days, which does hurt the numbers, but you can't blame them for that," Warren said.
C grade will likely be played of an evening, possibly with four teams, with a night to be decided soon, pending ground availability.
In terms of representative cricket this season for the senior sides, the LDCA is hoping to be able to field a team in the Creet Cup competition.
However, it has decided not to enter a team into O'Farrell Cup.
"We didn't necessarily agree with the introduction of the $500 fee to take part this season," Warren said.
The LDCA remains hopeful it may be able to return to the O'Farrell Cup in the 2020-2021 season.
