The next day, Lorraine Mullins, Dot Semmler, Hilary Chambers and Lorraine Messner travelled to Junee. Only one game of 18 ends was played and the winner was determined by the highest score. Lorraine's team won the tournament after defeating Ganmain 25-10.
LSC: The club was happy to welcome visitors from Ganmain, Narrandera, Hay, Colleambally, Darlington Point, Griffith and Leeton & District to the Open Invitation Day last Wednesday. Playing consistent bowls, the winning team was Joan Bourke, Denise Naylor, Jean Leighton and Lorraine Mullins from L&D on a countback. Runners up from the same club were Dianne Colyer, Fay Harris, Judy Heness and Elaine Sullivan, also on a countback. Social bowls as usual tomorrow with the singles championship to get under way the following week.
