Murrumbidgee's under 15s side have shown their skills out in the middle after finishing sixth in the inaugural Cricket NSW Youth Championship in Dubbo last week.
They finished the opening day with two wins from as many games, but it was a tough start to the second day as they took on ACT/SD Barons in a Twenty20 clash.
A strong bowling performance from the Murrumbidgee side saw them able to restrict the ACT/SD side to 88 from their 20 overs.
Griffith's Billy Evans (2/23) lead the way with the ball while Leeton's Blake McDonald (1/6) and Griffith's Noah Gaske (1/5) picked up a wicket each.
Gaske (36) then backed up his performance with the ball as he steered his side into a strong position before Griffith's Hayden Forner (16*) guided his side to a six-wicket win with five balls remaining.
The side then took on another one of the stronger teams in the Illawarra Highlanders in their final Twenty20, but went down on the day. In their final game of the three-day carnival, the Murrumbidgee side took on Central West in a fifty-over match.
The Murrumbidgee side was led well with Hay's Tom Davies (56) posting a half-century at the top of the over which saw the team in a strong position early, but they eventually went down in a close match.
