Gaske (36) then backed up his performance with the ball as he steered his side into a strong position before Griffith's Hayden Forner (16*) guided his side to a six-wicket win with five balls remaining.
The side then took on another one of the stronger teams in the Illawarra Highlanders in their final Twenty20, but went down on the day. In their final game of the three-day carnival, the Murrumbidgee side took on Central West in a fifty-over match.
The Murrumbidgee side was led well with Hay's Tom Davies (56) posting a half-century at the top of the over which saw the team in a strong position early, but they eventually went down in a close match.
