Mrs Blacker-Noble has been working on an artwork on a large wall at the Yanco Agricultural Institute's library, detailing in intricate detail its long and rich history.

The mural is another signature piece from Mrs Blacker-Noble. Many would recognise her style from murals she has also created throughout Leeton, including at the Historic Hydro Motor Inn and the St Peter's church hall.

This particular masterpiece details the history of the college, with each part of the mural having its own story to tell.

Mrs Blacker-Noble used photographs taken from the many different eras of the institute, including its time as a prisoner of war camp, the original purchase of the site from Sir Samuel McCaughey, the first workers and a home for "delinquent boys".

"You've got the two Japanese men in there from when they brought rice here," she said.

"There's an image of how I remember it looking from when I worked here from 1968 to 1974.

"It goes right up to today and how it is now used.

"I hope it tells the story of its history in a way that everyone can understand and see for themselves."

An opening of the mural will be held at a later date and it is hoped in the future it will form part of a wider plan to attract visitors to the institute to tour through the location and learn about its history and the important work that has happened, and continues to happen, at the site.

Mrs Blacker-Noble said it had been an honour to once again capture part of the shire's history through her painting skills.

"I've been working on it for a little while now, I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out," she said.

"I didn't think I would be doing another mural like this again, but it is a great honour.

"I hope everyone enjoys it. You've got to stand back a bit from it and really look at it to fully appreciate it."

The mural fills an otherwise empty and blank space at the library.
