To be held in Australia on Friday and Saturday, Ravu spent last week with her Papua New Guinea team in Port Moresby after she was selected to be part of the side following an exhibition game in Brisbane.
The team spent the week at a training camp to prepare for the inaugural competition, with Ravu looking forward to the experience.
"It's been a really great experience so far," she said.
"I was very surprised when I was selected, but also very humbled.
"I was proud of myself that I could represent my family like this."
With men's sides also playing on the weekend, Ravu will be rubbing shoulders with several high profile men's and women's players.

Papua New Guinea will field teams in both the women's and men's competition.
Ravu said she was excited to be taking the field, but said there would likely be some nerves.
"I think it's just about how you approach it ... you don't want to be too nervous and let it affect how you play, but I'm sure I will be a little bit nervous," she said.
"It's a pretty big stage that we'll be playing on. We play at Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta.
"Hopefully there will be some big crowds there.
"We'll be playing against Australia, New Zealand and England.
"For Australia there's a lot of players that played in the women's (NRL) grand final, so they will be very strong.
I was very surprised when I was selected, but also very humbled.

"It will be a bit surreal playing against some of these top players."
Ravu, 22, is a talented sportsperson having played several codes over the years, including both women's rugby union and league tag.
She said a career playing women's tackle was her ultimate dream.
"It's really exciting now because you can see that there is a clear pathway to do it professionally," Ravu said.
"I just love playing all sport and being part of a team.
"One day it would be great to do it professionally. I guess that has always been the goal.
"I will just keep working hard and see what happens."
Ravu said PNG would be throwing everything they've got at their competition this weekend and was hopeful of putting in a strong performance.
"We (the side) have been getting to know each other a bit more and how we play," she said. "I think we'll be very competitive."
