The team was made up of some of the best players from Albury, Leeton and Griffith on a busy day with teams from around the SIRU area taking on teams from Melbourne.
While they hit a slight hurdle early in their opening game with a 2-2 draw against a side from the South West Slopes, they were able to get a grasp on proceedings.
They were able to pick up wins over teams from Melbourne and South West Slopes before taking a 5-2 win in the grand final over another team from Melbourne.
Coach Lisa Curry said their success came off the back of their ability to adapt to the challenges in front of them.
"We started off to a slow start against South West slopes and changed how we would set our pack," she said.
"The girls took on board how I wanted to play, and they held their nerves to take the draw."
Curry felt the girls best performance came in their third game against another of the sides from the South West Slopes.
"It was a near-perfect game," she said.
"There were some incredibly well set up and executed tries, two intercepts as the girls won 6-3."
Curry said the team comradery was the most pleasing thing to see.
"The girls all gave me 100% and then some, they all did one thing that I couldn't teach them, and that was to trust in one another," she said.
"I can't express how proud I am of them. We trained hard and played harder, the passion that I have for union I hope made them dig deeper.
"The girls dominated the competition today and have set the standards for girls representative side in all aged groups."
The coach also paid credit to the parents and her support staff who helped her along the way.
"Like to say a massive thank you to Phillip Parsons for all your help," she said.
"I'd also like to thank all the parents for trusting me with their kids, and Albury for hosting. I hope I've helped each of the girls learn something new, which will help them improve as players."
