Brand new team Mim's Minions, of which seven players are 10-years-old and one 13, has smashed the weekly team score record with a team total of 125 for their best 5 of 8 scores. That's a whopping 55 under par - they had a nett 29 and 32 that they didn't even need to use!
Admittedly, they may have been over handicapped by their coach and local pro of which even he didn't expect them to produce results like these in round one of their inaugural season.
Led by player of the round Xavier Chilko, with a nett 18, Cruze Dale 21, Cooper Jones 28, Darcy Mimmo, Jude Clayton and Salvo Alampi all 29 of the team has lost a total handicap reduction of 66 shots for round two, which will definitely provide a firm task for next week and for the remainder of the season for that matter.
New girls' team Dude, wheres my Par? sit 2nd with 160 nett led by Candice Evans' 28. Guns n Roses are 164 courtesy of Craig Keffo's 31, Swig n Swing, Munchausens, Bald Eagles and Class on Grass all started well with sub 170 nett team efforts. The ball comp got out 33 nett so if you scored 33 and under ask Jason for a ball next time you're in the pro shop.
Other great scores were recorded by Anthony Ryan, Marcus Wynn, Sam Pirrottina, Matt Sharman, Steve McMahon, Shane Dryburgh, Phil Killen, John Stewart, Phil Gray, Benny Bagust, Lachie Pengelley, Nath Lucchese, Corrie Ratcliff, Craig Townsend, Patty Handsaker, Jess Broadrick, Tiala Howe, Johnny Gavel, Christine Wallace, Andrew Day, Ash Collins, Blake Hyde, Jye Doyle, Josh Lanham and Shastyn DiSalvia.
