TWO people suffered several injuries following a serious crash in Leeton shire.

The incident occurred on October 12 about 4.30pm and involved two vehicles at the Merungle Hill Road and Stringers Road intersection.
In one vehicle was a 66-year-old man, who was the driver, and a 64-year-old female passenger.

In the second vehicle a 25-year-old man was the sole occupant.
District Inspector Justin Cornes said police were still working to determine how the accident was caused.
"Investigations into what happened are continuing," he said.
"As a result of the accident the 64-year-old woman was trapped in the vehicle ... both she and the 66-year-old had to be taken to Wagga for further treatment.
The injuries were not life threatening, but still serious."
The 25-year-old man was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with minor injuries.
Leeton police, paramedics, fire and the Volunteer Rescue Association were all on scene shortly after the accident occurred.
District Inspector Cornes said the investigations would continue.
