This is different from the usual snooker competition and is an individual knockout series. The competition started with 22 players and now has 16 players, playing a best of three.
In the first game, Shaun Gras took on Mick Collins, with Shaun coming from behind to take the win. In the next game Jason Schmidt proved too strong for Peter Tiffin, winning in two. The next contest proved a big surprise with newcomer Peni Gio defeating seasoned player Daryl Quinn. Craig Willis was too good for Bill Johnson from Griffith.
