After a strong showing against the Border Bullets down in Albury last weekend, coach Tim Rand is confident his side has what it takes.
"We were very happy with how we performed," he said.
"Albury were at full strength and to get it down to the last three overs was very pleasing.
"We had our chances to win the game, but overall it was a strong performance."
Rand paid credit to the performance of his leadership group to steer their side out of danger.
"Haydn (Pascoe) and Theo (Valeri) had to consolidate after the loss of two early wickets and then picked the scoring up from there," he said.
"Good late hitting from Oliver Delvers got us to 140, and I thought that would be enough."
The Rangers will head to the squad with a largely unchanged line-up but do have one notable inclusion with Luke Docherty joining the squad.
"He is from the area and is currently playing first-grade cricket up in Sydney," he said.
"We have been trying to line things up over the last couple of seasons, but he hasn't been available, but he has put his hand up to play this weekend which is good.
"He will open the bowling and then bat in the middle order so he will be a handy inclusion."
There is a cloud hanging over the weekend with rain predicted to hit in Canberra on Sunday with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning or afternoon.
Rand said it is just something they will have to deal with.
"We are expecting they will be using covers so it could be a very late call as to whether games will go ahead or not," he said.
"If it rains here on Saturday, then we'll head down early but if not we will leave after the games finish here.
"It will just be a wait and see."
The Rangers will start their doubleheader on Sunday at 9.30am against Wagga before taking on the Aces at 1.30pm.
