As director and builder at Bill Arnold Pty Ltd, Bill Arnold is following in his father's footsteps and in turn has another generation following in his.
Bill Arnold P/L is an award-winning enterprise in the business of building new residential homes and commercial developments, as a Hotondo Homes builder for Leeton, Griffith and the surrounding area.
"My father recognised the importance of a sound and reliable local builder for the area," Bill said.
"I am proud to carry on this tradition with my sons with a business in my own name.
"I started Hotondo Homes in 1997, then expanded by adding a Griffith branch in 2004. My son Matt started working with me in 2011. I have also put on my second eldest Tyler as an apprentice this year, and potentially will have my youngest son Riley in years to come."
The business employs 10 people directly, with access to an additional 80 sub-contractors.
I am your local award-winning builder and the owner. I am the person you deal with.

"They are all integral to the success of the business," Bill said. "We have an outstanding knowledge and involvement with our community.
"The best part about us, unlike many other franchise building companies, is that I am your local award-winning builder and the owner. I am the person you deal with.
"We also have qualified and experienced staff to support our clients throughout their building experience."
Building a home requires a builder's license and access to quality trades, which Bill believes is critical to achieving the right outcome for a client.
"It is important for us to make sure that the client gets the best professional advice to ensure all government, building and safety requirements are addressed," he said. "This gives them better buying power, but perhaps one of the other important aspects is the confidence it provides the client during one of the most important phases in their life."
The team at Bill Arnold P/L can also ensure their clients remain on-trend.
"The Hamptons style seems to be becoming quite popular with the white interior and external cladding," Bill said. "Black tapware is still a favourite over chrome.
"However, each home reflects their owner's personal preferences and choices, which can vary substantially from home to home."
Being a part of the community
The Arnold name is not only recognise din the community for its building prowess, but also for its community support.
That support is provided by sponsorship and financial donations to a number of community and sporting groups.
"Having been an active member of the local and sporting community my whole life, starting with my father's involvement with his own business and carried through to my career, we are a proud Leeton family," Bill Arnold said.
"I enjoy the people and fellow familiar faces we work with.
"We are actively involved in a lot of sporting activities in the community.
"We hold a Hotondo round with the Leeton Greens rugby league club that auctions off personalised guernseys to raise money for prostate cancer.
"Our business also sponsors and financially supports many of the local groups and organisations in the area.
"Our staff also participate in many activities in the community, such as the Relay for Life, golf and fitness."
