The Leeton RSL Sub-branch marked its 100th anniversary, while the women's auxiliary, now known as just the auxiliary, celebrated its 70th anniversary.
The two milestones were reflected on during a special night, which included many heartfelt moments, according to Leeton RSL Sub-branch president John Power.
Mr Power said the members of the Ozy Youth Choir, which honours defence service, were on hand to sing, while various dignitaries also attended from RSL NSW.
"There was also a special table of remembrance set aside for those who couldn't be there ... there were many times during the night where there wasn't a dry eye in the house," he said.
"The choir were spectacular. They all traveled to take part.
"There was a lot of history spoken about and memories shared."
There were also memorabilia displays and a special cake made replicating Leeton's cenotaph, which was a metre tall.
