THE Leeton Eagles will have their women's team contesting this year's MIA League grand final after they sealed their spot with an 11-point victory over West Wyalong on the weekend.

Leeton were able to go one better than they did last year, reversing the 2018 preliminary final result against West Wyalong to make their way through to the 2019 final on Saturday.
The women's side were able to defeat West Wyalong, 56-45 in what was an impressive display.
Jane O'Garey picked up 16 points, while Maddy Clyne was another top contributor with 15.

The women finished the home and away season in second position.
The competition will now have a week off before the grand final is held in West Wyalong on November 23.
Leeton will be taking on Griffith to decide who has bragging rights for the 2019 season.
Meanwhile, Leeton's men's team went down in their final match on weekend, also against West Wyalong.
Leeton fought hard, but weren't able to keep up with the pace being set by their opponent, eventually going down 72-47. The Leeton men finished the season in third.
The men's final will be a showdown between West Wyalong and Griffith, also on November 23.
