There will be barbecue catering by the Whitton Rural Fire Brigade, so bring along your chairs and picnic blankets and try your luck at winning one of the 40 hams or other prizes up for grabs.
Santa is also expected to make an appearance.
Whitton Murrami Public School invites members of the community to be part of the school's presentation night on Monday, December 16 in the Whitton Community Hall starting at 6.30pm.
Thanks to an Australia Post Workforce Community Grant, the museum has been able to replace the old outdated sign at the main entrance, with enough funds to have some other custom made smaller signs and banners done.
In other works at the museum, the construction of the long-awaited, much-needed new toilet facilities is well underway. This project is one of several in Leeton Shire being funded through a Drought Relief Grant.
Whitton was the last stop on the launch of the Lyrics, Landscapes and Lintels public art trail on Saturday, November 2. After viewing the artwork in the park, and other new signage, the guests were then treated to an afternoon tea, supplied by Murrami CWA, which was enjoyed on the railway platform and tea room at the museum. There is a self-guided audio tour of the trail that is available via the app "izi.TRAVEL" for anyone interested.
