Narrandera made the brave decision to send the Stags in after winning the toss, and the Yanco side made a solid start with 26 runs coming off the first three overs.
Rohan Rehwinkel was able to make the breakthrough his side needed as he picked up the wicket of Jason Burke (6), but Yanco's captain Jordan Camm was able to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Camm was able to put on 13 runs with Jock Yelland before he departed after being bowled by Jonathan Doyle (1/17) while Max Yelland followed an over later when Reece Keech dismissed him.
Again it was Camm (48) who made sure the fall of wickets didn't have too much of an impact on his side however when he fell just short of his fifty the Stags lost three wickets for two runs with Keech (3/14) and Brodie Perram doing the damage.
Andrew Kouzan (11) was the only batsman other than Camm to break double digits as the bowling of Perram (4/15) proved difficult to handle with the Stags being bowled out for 101 in the 19th over.
The Carpheads made a strong start in their reply with Haydn Emerson and James Sullivan able to put on 28 in the first four and a half overs before Sullivan (12) was caught by Rohan Lacey off the bowling of Dan Hillam (1/9).
The home side lost three more wickets as Emerson (9) and Rehwinkel (0) fell to the bowling of Kouzan (2/15) while Jock Yelland (1/20) picked up Tom Butterfield to have the Carpheads on the back foot at 4/44 after 11 overs.
Narrandera was able to gain some momentum with skipper Brent Lawrence and Doyle at the crease as they scored 23 runs in the next four overs before Doyle was dismissed by Jordan Camm (1/16).
Ash Cabban (10*) joined Lawrence (41*) in the middle and the pair kept the scoreboard ticking over and got their side into the position of needing eight off the final over.
The Carpheads captain hit a four off the first ball of the over while two singles and a two off the final three deliveries saw Narrandera home with five wickets in hand.
