The Carpheads, who are sitting second, won the toss and elected to bat but lost an early wicket when Anthony Craig (6) was trapped in front by Maclean Crompton in the third over.
Haydn Emerson and Jonathan Doyle were able to put on 30 over the next four overs before Blake McDonald (2/14) struck to remove Doyle (12) and then followed it up an over later with the wicket of James Sullivan (0) while Emerson (14) was caught by McDonald off the bowling of Adrian Axtill (1/17).
Carpheads captain Brent Lawrence and Rohan Rehwinkel (29*) were able to get their side moving towards three figures and with it a defendable total.
After a fifth-wicket stand of 48 runs, Lawrence was trapped in front by Mathew Axtill (1/4) while Crompton (2/20) picked up the wicket of Ash Cabban (0) with Tom Butterfield (2) run out by Adrian Axtil on the final ball of the innings with Narrandera finishing on 7/100 after 20 overs.
The Ferrets got off to a tough start with Adrian Axtil (0) falling with the first ball of the innings delivered by Mark Tillyard before Peter Lashbrook and Mathew Axtill led the fightback.
Lashbrook took the lead scoring at over a run-a-ball as he put on a 44-run partnership with Axtill before Doyle (1/18) removed Axtil while Reece Keech (2/10) removed Lashbrook (30) and Bryce Rogers in the space of an over to have the Ferrets on 4/49 at the halfway point in their innings.
With the Ferrets requiring 52 runs off the remaining 60 balls and Blake McDonald and Richard Smith were able to get their side on the path to victory.
The fifth wicket pairing added 47 runs to get their side to within five runs of victory before McDonald (26) was out leg before wicket off the bowling of Brent Lawrence.
It was a minor bump in the road with Crompton (1*) and Smith (18*) able to guide their side to victory five balls later with the Ferrets coming away with the five-wicket win and all but securing the Twenty20 minor premiership.
Narrandera will take on Yanco next weekend, which could decide second spot.
