The two teams will do battle for the A grade Twenty20 premiership trophy on Sunday afternoon and it's shaping up to be quite the clash.
However, before they get to that point, they will also line up against each other on Saturday for the final round of the home and away season.
This match may be an indicator of what could go down during Sunday's grand final, but in Twenty20 matches can quickly be turned on their head any day of the week.
The Ferrets currently sit atop the home and away season ladder, with the Stags in second.
The two have enjoyed solid form to start off the 2019-20 season.
Ferrets captain Mat Axtill, who is leading the side for the first time, is expecting a tough hit out during the decider on Sunday.
"We're looking pretty good ... it's going to be much the same team we've had all season," he said.
"For us it will be about making sure our bowling and fielding is good. We want to keep the sundries down.
"Taking some early wickets will also be a big one. If we can do all of that, we should be okay."

Both sides have a spread of youth and experience in their teams, making the outcome even more hard to choose.
In their two matches already this season the two sides have enjoyed a draw, with L&D CC winning the round four encounter.
Yanco captain Jordan Camm feels an all-round performance from his team will be crucial in picking up the first premiership of the season.
He said while all players knew they had a role to play, there were some he would be relying on.
"Jason Burke has been opening the batting for us this season and he's been doing a great job," Camm said.
"Obviously we want him to get off to a good start. Personally, I also want to lead from the front and get some good runs on the board too.
"We've got the experience of blokes like Mark Doyle, who is always reliable. Josh Lanham will also play a big part."
Both captains agreed playing at Yanco Sportsground wasn't a real advantage to either side as teams have had an equal amount of playing time on all pitches throughout the shire during the Twenty20 season.
Sunday's grand final will kick off at 1pm.
