Mimmo took part in the Cancer Council's Longest Day fundraiser, which involved him playing the 72 holes with no cart and only a half an hour break.
He started the challenge about 5.45am on Monday, finishing around 4.30pm.
"I did it a lot quicker than I thought I would," Mimmo said.
"I had some people walk along the way for parts with me, which was really good.
"Early on it wasn't too bad. When I got to about 2.30pm, my leg starting cramping. It gave me a bit of grief."
It wasn't the first time Mimmo has competed in such a challenge, completing 100 holes in 2007 for Movember.

"I was 27 and a lot fitter back then, so it was definitely a bit harder this time ... back then I did some preparation, but this time not really," Mimmo joked.
Along with the leg cramp, Mimmo also earned himself many blisters, including one of the bottom of his foot in the shape of a love heart.
"I've been hobbling along, but it's worth it ... it's a cause everyone can relate to," he said.
The event is a national fundraiser, with others across the country also competing on the same day.
Mimmo, through the generosity of the community, has managed to raise almost $10,000, which has placed him in the top 10 fundraisers around the country.
"I've been really overwhelmed by people's donations," he said.
"The amount of generosity in this community is just amazing. I'm really thankful for everyone's support."
