The Leeton Bidgee Classic will be held from March 6 to 8 at Gogeldrie Weir and there's more than just fishing to look forward to.
While some might be worried about the amount of water in the Murrumbidgee River, organisers are hopeful of having a decent flow throughout the weekend.
The committee is currently in discussion with WaterNSW and are positive there will be many great fishing spots along the river as a result.
So with the event locked and loaded, all residents need to do is plan to attend and head out ready for a good weekend on the water.
Adding another element to the weekend will be guest ambassador for the event Steve Starling. .
Mr Starling is an Australian sports fishing writer and television personality who has appeared in many of Rex Hunt's Fishing Adventure programs on the Seven Network.

Leeton Bidgee Classic secretary Paul Smith said 2020 was the year to take part if you're yet to do so.
"We've got a massive weekend planned ... all of the preparations are coming along really well," he said.
"The best thing is we've been hearing in the last couple of weeks is there's been some really big fish being caught out near the weir ... some up to a metre long.
"We're looking forward to another great weekend."
Participants need not even be keen anglers to take part. There's many other activities to take part in, including the "super Saturday" raffles, which comes complete with $3000 worth of prizes.
There's also the release of thousands of fingerlings into the river, which is helps complete the committee's goal of re-stocking the Murrumbidgee River.
The classic is catch and release based, but there's still plenty of competition through the fishing days.
