Also known as U3A, the organisation recently celebrated all it had achieved over the course of 2019, successfully offering its members an interesting and varied series of presentations, workshops and more.
Formed 3 years ago, Leeton U3A is part of a worldwide movement, offering people in the "third age" or retirement the opportunity to continue and share the journey of lifelong learning in a friendly and social atmosphere.

"We take a keen interest in our community, its individual members who have a story to tell, (and that means almost everybody), and also those industries and organisations that enrich and strengthen our area," secretary Kath Lamont said.
"During the year, which is based on the academic calendar, we endeavour to offer a range of activities, from guest speakers, visits to local places of interest, outings to local industries and occasional get-togethers over a meal or a coffee.
"Organised outings to various venues around the district become more accessible as a group, and members are often surprised at the initiative and creativity in our community.
"There is much to see and learn in our area and U3A offers an opportunity to all seniors to enjoy what the community has to offer in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere."
There are no exams - just the chance to meet and interact with like-minded people and learn a little more about the world along the way.
The group meets at the Leeton library every Tuesday at 10:30am, excursions days typically start at the same time.
