Every week the church holds its Sunday mass service at 9.30am, but with Australia Day falling on a Sunday this year, the decision has been made to change things up a little.

Instead an Australia Day-themed mass will be held at St Peter's from 11am, but that is just the start of the festivities, according to Father Robert Murphy.
"We have decided to move the mass (from 9.30am) so we aren't clashing with the ceremony and breakfast in the park," he said.
"So, people can go enjoy breakfast, be part of the awards ceremony and then wander over to the church for our Australia Day-themed mass.
"Afterwards we'll be having a barbecue lunch featuring lamb burgers, followed by a thong-throwing competition."
This will then leave ample time for those still seeking more ways to celebrate Australia Day to have a rest before attending the free pool party or attend the many events being hosted by the Leeton SunRice Festival Ambassador Quest entrants.
