Leeton Soldiers Club's women bowlers were pleased to be back on the rinks after the Christmas/new year break.
The cooler weather was welcomed and the matches enjoyed. Winners on the day were Jeannie Plant and Betty Howard; runners-up were Margaret O'Leary and Laurel Cox. A resting touch was recorded for Margaret O'Leary. The monthly meeting was held after bowls, with the calendar of events presented for the coming year.
An invitation is extended to ladies who would like a midweek sport and a desire to meet and make new friends. Coaching is available for those new to bowls.
