The cooler weather was welcomed and the matches enjoyed. Winners on the day were Jeannie Plant and Betty Howard; runners-up were Margaret O'Leary and Laurel Cox. A resting touch was recorded for Margaret O'Leary. The monthly meeting was held after bowls, with the calendar of events presented for the coming year.
An invitation is extended to ladies who would like a midweek sport and a desire to meet and make new friends. Coaching is available for those new to bowls.

L&D hosted the Central Riverina District Open and Senior Fours Championships last Tuesday.
Open 4s Finals: Wagga RSL won the championship by defeating Wagga Rules Club 21-17.
Senior 4s Semi-finals: Lockhart, after leading early, went down to Wagga Rules 20-18. Wagga RSL managed to even the score with L&D and gain the upper hand on the ninth and 10th ends. But L&D proved to be too strong and won the semi 22-12.
The Senior 4s Final was between L&D and Wagga Rules. L&D took the lead early and never lost it. Joan Lloyd, Marika Pete, Janet Bell and Jan Walker went on to win 22-12.
