Joining forces to raise money for bush fire victims, the Griffith and Leeton-Yanco masonic lodges have been left astounded by our community's generosity.
They collectively raised $1500 for Blaze Aid, which helps rebuild fences on farms after the fires which have ripped through the Riverina.
Peter Simpson, Worshipful Master of Leeton-Yanco, presented a cheque to the charity for $750 on Friday at Leeton-Yanco lodge 313.

"We held a fundraising barbecue, and the generosity was just amazing," he said.
"Soon as they found out what we were fundraising for, they went all in."
"The charity was decided upon by our members," he explained.
Brother Bob Bunbury is one of the coordinators and organisers of the Blaze Aid depots in Batlow, which has been devastated by the recent fires.
"It's an important job as the farmers have to keep their stock on their property."
