St Peter's Anglican Church will again be hosting Shrove Tuesday festivities on February 25 before Ash Wednesday services mark the beginning of Lent on February 26.
Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day as it is also known, will be an opportunity for everyone to not just enjoy a tasty treat, but take part in what has become a great tradition at St Peter's.
"Every year we hold the pancake relay ... it can become quite competitive, especially because you get your name on the trophy if you do win," Father Robert Murphy said.

The pancake relay will get underway from 7pm and will be followed by a feast with all of the toppings.
The relay itself involves teams of four where one player at a time is required to put on an apron and mop cap and having a pancake in a frying pan.
They must then toss the pancake, run to where a line is marked out, flipping the pancake and then turning to go back to their team, flipping the pancake again and exchanging the pan, apron and cap before the next person can start.
The first team to complete this and be seated on the ground will win the coveted trophy.
This year Fr Robert will be holding several worship times the following day on Ash Wednesday at 7.30am, 10am and 6pm. There will be no Ashes to Go in 2020.
