Following directions from NSW RSL, our RSL Auxiliary will no longer be a separated entity but will come completely under the Sub Branch, falling into line with the SOPs to comply with the RSL reformed Constitution, as required by law. This brings to an end our Auxiliary as such for the past 70 years, but we will still be active in fundraising for the Sub Branch and supporting them in all their activities. Our last official meeting was held on February 7, with decisions made to still continue to gather on the first Friday of the month now at noon for lunch, with coffee to follow at 1.30pm. It will be at these gatherings that discussions will be held on our fundraising activities with a spokesperson to report to the Sub Branch at their meetings. Some members of the Auxiliary are already Affiliate members of the Sub Branch, with either providing a suitable spokesperson between the groups. The Sub Branch has warmly invited all Auxiliary members to join them at their meetings at 11am on the first Sunday of the month, followed by lunch. Our ambassador, Belinda has been extremely busy raising funds for her cause, our RSL Sub Branch. Major raffle tickets are available at various locations. She has Poker night on February 28, Show and Shine on March 1, hot food catering at the Bidgee Classic 6th, 7th and 8th March, 'Is it the Full Monty' March 28. She has these exciting events and more coming up that we hope you will be able to support.
