The Ferrets made a slow start with Tyler O'Connell (0) falling on the third delivery while Noah Maybon followed with both batsmen falling to the bowling of David Cato.
Peter Lashbrook led the fightback with Ashley Frazer playing the supporting role as the pair were able to put on 63 runs before Frazer (19) was dismissed by Cooper Irons.
Lashbrook passed fifty and alongside Blake McDonald got their side past the 100-mark before Lashbrook (69) was finally dismissed by James Smith (1/25).
McDonald (35), Jack Kidd (14) and Kai Schmetzer (19) were able to add runs while three wickets each to Cato (3/34) and Irons (3/24), as well as two to Sam Williamson (2/32), saw the Ferrets bowled out for 198 in the 34th over.
Dylan Browne was able to make a good start with the ball as he picked up the early wicket of William McLellan (0) while Connor Vearing (8) followed closely behind when he fell to Maybon.
Shane Bloomfield (15), Irons (35), and Cato (20) top-scored for their side, however, the bowling of Browne (3/11), McDonald (3/42), Maybon (2/22) and Frazer (2/9) restricted the Carpheads to just 113 to see the Ferrets come away with a convincing win.
Meanwhile, in C grade, the Ferrets lead at the top of the table has been reduced after the Yanco Cricket Club Phantoms picked up a 15-run win.
Harvey Gay (18) led the way for the Phantoms before Jesse Watson (3/10) picked up three quick wickets to see the Phantoms fall to 4/39 after 10.3 overs.
Darcey Cullen (20) was key in the middle order for the Phantoms as no other batsman was able to break double digits as the Yanco side closed out their 20 overs on 8/92.
Tyler O'Connell (14) and Angus Howe (11) both made starts at the top of the order for the Ferrets while tight bowling from Cullen (2/11), Gay (2/18) and Billy Limbrick (2/16) kept the pressure on the L&D side.
Watson (11) tried to get his side over the line however, it wasn't enough as they were bowled out for 77 to hand the Phantoms the win.
In the other game, St Francis was able to see off the challenge of the Yanco Cricket Club Stars. Nate Doyle (34), Zachary Dart (47) and Taylor Heath (28) were the top scorers for the St Francis side who finished their 20 overs on 6/133 with Thomas Camm (3/30) the pick of the bowlers for the Stars.
Camm (49*) top-scored for Yanco while Tom Allen (16) and Callum Dunn (11) made starts as the Stars reached 4/99 off 20 overs to give the St Francis side a 34-run win.
