The outfield was left with long ruts after the council lawnmower got bogged after driving into a wet patch as they prepared the ground for Saturday's game. The ruts were filled with sand however, the ground was deemed unsafe for play.
The LDCA were only informed of the issue on Friday night after the damage was done on Thursday and they were unable to prepare a wicket at another ground which could have seen the clash go ahead.
The result from the game is yet to be determined with the Association holding a meeting on Tuesday night to discuss the issue. With heavy rain on the forecast, there are doubts over whether the ground will be able to host the Ferrets clash with Yanco this weekend.
