If that is the case, Wamoon Public School parents would have been over the moon last week when students took part in the "Great Veggie Crunch", which is an initiative of the Live Life Well for Schools initiative.
The event encourages as many schools as possible to simultaneously munch on veg at the exact same time.
This year Wamoon Public contributed 30 students to that tally, as well as four teachers, according to principal Matt Collins.
"Students at Wamoon Public School are encouraged to bring in a small portion of vegetables and/or fruit as part of our crunch and sip program," he said.
"As part of our school commitment to student wellbeing we provide fruit and vegetables platters daily to each class, which are prepared by parent volunteers.
"We have noticed an increase in student concentration and wellbeing as a result of our crunch and sip program. Students are also talking more about healthy eating choices."
The Big Veggie Crunch is a free school-based health promotion funded by NSW Health.
