That is according to the theatre's redevelopment committee chairman Katherine Herrmann, who has provided an update on where this project is currently placed.
As the community is aware, Leeton Shire Council announced earlier this year it had bought the adjoining site to the Roxy Theatre - the former Movie and Crate cafes.
"This has enabled the redevelopment project to explore greater strategic options toward future-proofing Leeton's arts and cultural precinct,"Mrs Herrmann said.
"(This will) further increase arts and cultural participation, improving accessibility and optimising the theatre experience for a variety of user groups.
"Accordingly the design process has been extended to consider this strategic acquisition."
With the coronavirus pandemic affecting many ways of living and working at the moment, as well as the purchase of the two cafe buildings, Mrs Herrmann noted early last week a revised construction program for the project was being put together.
The aim is for this to be provided by the end of April, together with further information on the design process.
"The Roxy redevelopment committee over the past months have been fully engaged in reviewing the technical constraints, ensuring we address access, services, as well as heritage requirements ensuring the Roxy can accommodate the next generation of audiences and deliver a functional building for users now and into the future," Mrs Herrmann said.

There have been several workshops held this year addressing these areas.
The next steps will be to re-engage with key user groups in the coming months about updates, developments and key elements of the project before a final recommendation is made to council.
"(The committee) will make a formal recommendation to council in the coming weeks on which council will make a final decision," Mrs Herrmann said.
"The community will be provided information sessions on the proposed design and how the building process will take place."
With COVID-19 impacting meetings and events, it is not known at this point what these sessions will involve or how they will move forward, but there will be a way to do so.
The redevelopment of the Roxy Theatre has been able to go ahead thanks to grant funding from the state government to the tune of almost $4 million.
It is one of many upgrades happening throughout the shire as a result of grant funding, including the Leeton pool and the grandstand at the Leeton Showground.
